Description

OTO has staff with over 15 years experience in the environmental remediation field. Our clients include architects, other engineers and consultants, contractors, municipal development agencies, insurance companies, religious associations, petroleum retailers and distributors, and owners of automobile sales and service facilities.

We have designed, installed and operated remedial systems at residences, schools, commercial buildings, gasoline service stations, airports, within industrial developments, and at construction sites (e.g., dewatering systems).

OTO has the capabilities for feasibility analysis, pilot testing, cost estimating, permitting, full-scale installations, evaluating and upgrading existing remedial systems, system operation, maintenance and optimization, project management and reporting, and remedial system shut-down and removal.

OTO’s remedial engineering staff have extensive design and hands-on operations and maintenance experience of various types of remedial systems and technologies, including:

• Soil Vapor Extraction and Air Sparging;
• Total Fluids and Dual-Phase Extraction;
• Vacuum-Enhanced Groundwater Recovery;
• Groundwater Pump and Treat;
• Hydrocarbon Product Recovery;
• Air Stripping and Carbon Filtration;
• Soil Flushing;
• In-Situ Chemical Oxidation with Hydrogen Peroxide/Fenton’s Reagent
• Thermal and Catalytic Oxidation.

We are not tied to any specific vendor or technology. Rather, we work to identify a site-specific approach that will reduce risks to public health, safety and the environment. This may include non-remedial solutions such as risk assessment or implementing institutional controls (deed restrictions).

When remediation is required, OTO can implement a technology to achieve your remediation goals. Ultimately, we strive to diagnose the remedy specific to the situation as cost-effectively as possible, and have an eye toward the ultimate goal – site stabilization and exit from environmental regulation.
